New Year, New Sex-olutions

Isn’t it the best feeling ever when you buy a new book and open up to the first fresh page? Anything is possible! That’s just like the New Year - we can channel a different energy and create a new set of intentions for ourselves. You may have had the best year of your life or an absolute shit show, but by establishing small, achievable resolutions we can start off the year with focus and intent. New years can also be a very daunting time - we have all been there on December 31st realising that a whole year went by without having accomplished (or attempted) any of the resolutions we set for ourselves the year before. Ffs. 

That’s why we want to make it easy for you all. We have listed some sex-olutions, most are really simple and very quick to do. Remember, it’s NEVER too late (or early) in the year to make positive changes for yourself. 

Have a gander at the list, and see if there is one that sticks out for you. Choose one, and just give it a go!

  1. Buy yourself a gorgeous Ilo Wellness body oil and moisturise every time you get out of the shower. 
  2. Set a timer for 3 minutes and look at your lady parts with a hand mirror. Take your time to explore. 
  3. Buy a sexy outfit for yourself and show it off to someone deserving - could just be for you. Try wearing this to work or out for dinner with friends. 
  4. Write a list of your sexual partners, and identify whether that was a positive or negative experience and why? 
  5. Write down 5 things you love about your body and/or how your body feels during sex - for example, “I love how my legs look when I’m on top” or “I like my hair being stroked because it makes me feel feminine.” 
  6. If you’ve never owned a sex toy before, buy a Ilo Wellness one that appeals to you and give yourself time to explore it!
  7. Write a letter to yourself in 10 years time. The more self-aware you are, the more you understand your own desires and needs. 
  8. Detox from pornography for 2 weeks and see how this affects your self-pleasure experience.
